Scholarship: A Living Archive

Years of research, reflection and exploration at the intersection of movement, embodiment and spirituality.

Step into the scholarly foundations that inform Wild Soul. This collection brings together my academic writings, tracing the questions, discoveries and conversations that shaped my understanding of movement as a way of knowing, relating and transforming.

Welcome and Roadmap

Welcome to my collection of academic writings! Here you'll find articles, chapters in edited volumes, book reviews, editorials and even my PhD thesis.

Academic publishing is a labour of love. Researching, writing, revising and publishing these pieces has taken many months, sometimes years. I'm delighted to make this body of work available to anyone curious about the ideas, questions and experiences that have shaped my thinking.

A note on copyright: Not all publications can be shared in their original published format. Some already appeared in the public domain. For others, you'll find the accepted manuscript (sometimes called a post-print), which contains the final peer-reviewed text before typesetting and layout. The content is generally the same, although formatting and pagination will be different.

I organised the content by type of publication, with pieces arranged chronologically within each section. If you're looking for something shorter, go for a book review or editorial. For a deeper study, browse the journal articles and book chapters.

And if you're ready for something more substantial, you'll find my PhD thesis here too! You may have seen this on the University of Roehampton's website, but their version is missing the introductory chapter, despite my repeated attempts to have this corrected. Here, at last, you get the full monty.
