WILD SOUL GATEWAYS

5 Wild Soul Ingredients

Wild Soul Centre offers 5 different lenses or gateways through which you can explore the landscape of your life.

Whether you sign up for a webinar, a Qi Gong class, a weekend workshop, a self-paced or community-course or personal mentoring, you are likely to encounter any of these ingredients.

They are: Movement, Energy, Archetypes, Nature, Spirituality.

Together they form the acronym MEANS - as they are the instruments or vehicles for your journey into soul territory.

You will notice that they are broader than 'techniques' or 'approaches'. Movement for example includes Qi Gong and conscious dance, or any other form of movement you participate in. Energy includes principles from taoism and shamanism and will be familiar to people who practise Reiki as well. Archetypes refer to focused bundles of energy as they appear in stories and myth, but as powerful role models for your life. In that sense, these gateways are simply different entry points or ways to explore your fascinating life with.

Perhaps you are already firmly at home in some, while others are less familiar.

Movement

Movement is often used as a synonym for life. We are all born as movers and it is truly the first modality through which we explore the world. I teach two specific movement modalities: Qi Gong, and conscious dance. Reconnecting with the freedom and joy of movement as a tool for personal expression, healing, learning and spirituality often feels like coming home for people. There is no such thing as two left feet, and I can’t wait to move with you!

Energy

Energy is at the core of the entire universe. Every breath is a chance to let go of old stagnant energy and top up your life force. I share concrete tools to help you guide and direct thoughts, emotions as energies-in-motion, reset your nervous system, and retrieve energy you might have lost in challenging conversations or situations. Navigating your energy skilfully is essential to stay healthy and well.

Archetypes

I am fascinated by the healing power of stories and archetypes for general empowerment and during specific healing journeys. Story characters can be inspiring role models for specific life experiences around decision making, illness, loss, failure, betrayal, life and death. They challenge us to overcome our obstacles, find the treasure hidden in each situation, and most importantly to let go of stories that no longer serve.

Nature

Nature is an incredible teacher and a vast source of practical and mystical knowledge. Returning to the wild, where we don’t have specific roles to play or tasks to perform, is essential for reconnecting with your original essence. Nature provides healthy mirrors for the cycles of gestation, birth, growth and decay. Observing animal behaviour, playing in the ocean surf, or surrendering to the night gives us some respite from the overly manicured organisation of our everyday life and helps us return to self with new inspiration and perspective.

Spirit

Wild Soul proposes an embodied spirituality that infuses all aspects of everyday life. It is not about escaping physical limitations or life challenges, but perceiving them as part of the journey. If we are present in everything we do and infuse our daily activities with soul and spirit, they become an expression of our unbroken connection to the sacred. I believe that the sublime is right here, in our moving, changing and ageing flesh and the land around us.

Explaining "Wild"

I use the word wild in the sense of 'original nature'. Imagine an acorn that grows into a majestic oak tree without restrictions. It expresses its wild, inner nature without reservation.

The overculture doesn't like wild, not in nature, and not in people. Restraints of family and education can shape us into a diluted or shadowy version of ourselves.

That doesn't mean we have throw social conventions and behaviour out the window, but that we do create time to to nurture and tend to our original, wild essence, so we can be fully resourced in the face of everyday life.

Wild is an invitation to activate the power to become who you were always meant to be, in your original essence and with wild and untamed nature as a friend, mirror and guide.

Explaining "Soul"

When I speak of soul, I refer to the essential yet mysterious spark that animates our life, without any religious connotation.

This intangible, energetic blueprint is unique to each of us and contains our mission, our unique essence, gifts, and wounds. This essence can get lost, squashed, damaged and broken by the storms and fires of life, but the good news is that we can always repair it.

Creating a true partnership with soul is a fulfilling way to navigate life.

I differentiate between soul as unique to each of us, and spirit in which we are all one. This follows other shamanic traditions, like Alberto Villoldo's Four Winds approach. He describes our individual soul as our individual 8th Chakra, and our collective spirit as the 9th Chakra that we share.

Explaining "Alchemy"

Likewise, the word Alchemy has different meanings. Here is how I understand some different layers and nuances:

  1. As traditional art of transformation, alchemy is often known as the chemical process of turning lead into gold. This ancient practice symbolised deep inner change, refining something dense and heavy into something luminous and valuable. Alchemists were meticulous researchers, documenting their discoveries step by step.

  2. As a personal and spiritual process, alchemy can be applied to our emotions, beliefs and experiences, transforming pain into wisdom, fear into courage, and disconnection into a deeper sense of belonging. It’s a way of working with life’s raw materials to create meaning and growth.

  3. A living practice of magic and reconnection—alchemy reminds us that transformation is always possible. Through movement, ritual, storytelling and working with nature’s elements, we engage with the alchemical forces within and around us, shaping our lives in alignment with soul and spirit.
