Watch the replay of the Dancing in the Muddy Temple Book Launch on Summer Solstice 2022, featuring four awesome speakers: Geoffrey Samuel, Jerome Lewis, Celeste Snowber and Nic Salazar. You'll also find a separate audio file with the guided dance sequence that we did during the webinar, to exploring dancing in the muddy temple from the comfort of your home! "The most endearing webinar ever" (said a participant)!

Let me invite you on a journey...

... of improvised movement as a pathway to insight, healing, transformation and direct interaction with source...

In this book I trace my life-long exploration of nature-based spirituality through my moving body. As a child I mimicked picking flowers or reaching for the stars through classical ballet. I sang to the moon, brew my own tisanes from herbs I picked in the local park, and realigned myself with god-the-mother because the protestant teachings I grew up with only seemed to address half the story... Later I dived into techniques for expanding consciousness through the senses, rhythmic movement and improvised, sometimes ecstatic, dance.

Sharing my autobiographical and embodied narrative, I weave a tapestry of personal, professional and academic experiences. Although the book draws on dance, anthropology, shamanism, nature immersion and ceremonial healing, it is a cross-disciplinary gateway towards a personal experience of somatic spirituality...

Even though it provides a radical integration of theory and practice, the book is written in accessible language that inspires confidence for your personal inquiry. Indeed, many people who read earlier versions say that through the words, they felt invited into their own body and process of discovery in a safe and contained way.

The dancing in this book is not about learning a specific technique or performing some fancy acrobatics, but about tuning into the natural movement of your life in connection to the world around you. Celeste Snowber writes about it:

"In a time when the planet is hurting, we are given a book as medicine— a medicine for dreamers and dancers, scholars and seekers, philosophers and artists, but most of all, an embodied spirituality and an embodied scholarship that dances. This is nothing less than an exquisite offering to the world."
