This gentle routine includes 5 simple but powerful movements to reset the nervous system, release stored emotions and reclaim your energy.

These movements are derived from Qi Gong, an ancient Chinese movement practice that blends breath, intention and flowing movement to support vitality, emotional balance and connection with life energy. It’s gentle but profound β€” and especially helpful for calming the nervous system and shifting states of overwhelm.

You can do the sequence standing or seated, as long as your spine is free to move. Don't worry about getting the movements exactly right β€” just allow them to become a conduit to discharge stress and an invitation back into connection.

Here are your 5 movements:

  • Reset β€” Spinal Cord Breathing

  • Release β€” Thought Swipe

  • Recharge β€” Shaking

  • Reclaim β€” Centring

  • Reconnect β€” Luminous Flow

After the practice, I invite you to take a moment to reflect. What do you notice in your body? What stood out or shifted for you? You can jot it down, or share it in the comments below the video β€” I’d love to hear!

If you enjoyed this practice and are thirsty for more, I’ve created a series of 10Γ— 15-minute Qi Gong routines for Overwhelm Freedom β€” each one designed to help you move through different flavours of overwhelm and restore calm, clarity and energy. That self-paced course is perfect for everyday support when you feel scattered, stressed or stretched too thin.
