Where is the Rest of Me? ⌘ (18.06.23)

Last week we had a beautifully intimate Thrive Circle. It' such a gift to create space to listen to our inner life, our wild soul, share things we struggle with and yearn for. We looked at what self care means, and how we can ensure pockets of time, even when family is visiting, work is busy, a loved one needs (more of) our attention...

Apparently Buddha insisted that he have one hour completely to himself every day. Of course that's not always possible, in which case I like to stick with Rumi (we're in good company here). Rumi said to give yourself 5 minutes each day to shout, rage, wallow, complain, wail do whatever you need to express what might not be constructive to share with others. I believe that it's better to fully embody this, even for such a short time, than for putting the lid on and hoping the feelings stay put. Then you shake it off, like a dog shakes off water, and continue with a 'clearer' heart and mind.

Reflection & Practice

This week I wanted to share a practice from the Embodied Spirituality Masterclasses. It's a resource to help you reflect on parts of yourself that you might have left behind or lost along the way, with a clear call to action to invite them back and welcome them home. You can download it here.

(slightly adapted from the course version)

Taking time to reflect on this every now and then will help you bring more of your soul home, and lead to a richer and fuller life.

It can be a tender inquiry, so please be gentle with yourself. Coax those parts back that have fallen by the wayside, are in hiding, too shy to come out, unsure if they will be welcomed back, and equally invite those who are eagerly jumping up and down with joy and can't wait to return to you for some joy, play, celebration and quirkiness!

If you want to share, we'd love to hear from you! Being witnessed is often the next step to manifesting change! The Seed Topic is a great place for this.

Wishing you a week with 'more of you' in it!
