Movement is one of the oldest ways humans have known the living world. People learned by walking the land, sensing the wind, watching animals and moving in rhythm with earth and season. This week is a simple invitation to return to this embodied relationship.
Instead of thinking about nature, we explore how the body can listen, respond and enter into dialogue with the living world around us. Through small daily explorations you may begin to notice your surroundings differently, and rediscover the deep intelligence that emerges when body, land and attention meet.
This is not about performing or getting movement “right”. It is about experiencing the simple joy of moving with the world that is always here
This experiential week unfolds over seven days, from Friday 1 May to Friday 8 May 2026
• Opening gathering – Friday 1 May 7.30-8.30pm CET time
We begin with a live Zoom circle to introduce the course, meeting your fellow movers and get a sense of what's ahead. This is also a great place to ask any questions you may have, and share your intention for the week!
• Seven movement prompts in your inbox
You’ll receive seven themes to explore outdoors in your own environment, wherever you are. You’re welcome to explore them all, or simply follow those that call to you. Think of them as gentle invitations, or an un-challenge :-)
• Move in your own landscape
You might wander in a forest, park, garden, by the sea or simply pause beside a tree on your street. The invitations are open and adaptable, so you can meet them in your own way and in your own environment, also if that is urban.
• A sense of community & companionship
Other participants will be exploring alongside you in their own places around the world. You can easily share your experience on the private community course space each day.
• Closing gathering – Friday 8 May 7.30-8.30pm CET time
We meet again to close the circle, share reflections and harvest what the week has opened.
Movement has a way of awakening attention and feeling alive! As soon as you step outside, you may begin to notice your surroundings differently. The sway of branches, the rhythm of your breath, the texture of ground beneath your feet.
Researchers found that even short encounters with trees, parks and natural landscapes can reduce stress, improve move, restore attention and calm the nervous system.
Simple explorations can open surprising doors: a sense of dialogue with the land, a renewed aliveness in the body, attuning to the rhythms and cycles of the seasons.
This way of working has been part of my own life for many years. For me it's a true practice of connecting, cultivating a sense of presence and belonging that I hope may inspire you too!
There is nothing to perform and nothing to get right. Just curiosity, movement and the possibility of rediscovering the world through the intelligence of the body.
Eline Kieft (Ph.D) is a dancer, shamanic practitioner, anthropologist and change facilitator. Combining these different modalities, she invites movement as a different way of knowing that reconnects us with ourselves and with the world around us. Her experiential pedagogy sprouts from a deeply lived connection with nature and her passion for personal growth and embodied spirituality.
What others say about similar experiences with me!
I am surprised about how easily my body can give my answers and what it tells me. It’s very insightful. Thank you :)
This course opened up a whole new way to encounter nature. I will surely go on with moving outside and inside for the insights in life and my own life.
Every invitation was an opportunity to discover new areas in my neighbourhood. My eyes opened to abundant life on this planet despite all the difficult circumstances.
I was in Barcelona, and went out to find parks and open places. It helped me look at my relationship to place as a spiritual practice.
The course resonated with my T'ai Chi practice, and my ongoing creative exploration of somatic movement across the seasons. Refreshing. Enlivening. Joyful. It is worth every penny.
To feel my connection with nature with my body was new to me. To dance with an oak tree... to feel into my senses... at sunrise, sunset or anytime of day… Truly Eline, you are such a gift.. I learn so much by just noticing. I feel so fortunate.
It is wonderful to meet in a live circle so we can open and close the week together. However, if you can't make the live zooms, you can watch the recordings in your own time, so you won't miss out on anything!
Move with Nature Week is for anyone who feels drawn to reconnect with the living world through movement. You might already love being outdoors, or you might simply feel curious about what happens when you slow down and move with trees, wind, earth and sky.
You don’t need any dance or movement experience. Just a willingness to step outside, listen to your surroundings, and explore simple invitations in your own way.
That’s absolutely fine.
Nature is present everywhere: in a tree along the street, a patch of grass in a park, the movement of clouds, the feel of wind between buildings, the rhythm of your own breath, a beam of sun or moonlight through your window.
That means you don’t need wilderness or spectacular landscapes to take part.
The invitations are designed to help you meet whatever environment you are in with fresh attention. A small garden, a local park, a quiet corner with a tree, or even the sky above a balcony can become a place of exploration.
Move with Nature Week is less about where you are, and more about how move in relationship with the living world around you.
I know life happens. The most important thing is to follow your flow. If you don’t have time, perhaps you can muse on the theme while you collect the kids from school; or are waiting in line for the supermarket. It’s all about connection, discovery and moments of reflection.
If you miss a day, don’t feel you have to catch up. All is fine. Nothing is written in stone!
